Our commitment

If something is published incorrectly, we correct it explicitly, record it on this page and state the correction. Suggestions and error reports are welcome by email on the About page.

  1. publication

    Initial release of Peste.com.br

Launch of the panel covering the Irkutsk laboratory case, with the information-classification system (confirmed / reported / unconfirmed) and pages on the disease, symptoms, prevention, timeline, FAQ and sources.

  2. update

    Automatic news collection

Live feed activated, collecting Brazilian and international sources, with deduplication, automatic classification and in-browser updates every 5 minutes.

  3. technical improvement

    Security hardening

Added security headers and a Content Security Policy, URL-scheme validation in the news ingestion, a dependency upgrade (postcss) and publication of security.txt.

  4. update

    In-depth guides and English edition

Publication of 20 in-depth medical guides in Portuguese and their English counterparts, with hreflang, medical schema and cited sources. New internal search and public corrections page.

  5. update

    Editorial repositioning and transparency

The site now presents itself as a platform for information, science and monitoring about plague, with the Irkutsk case as a section rather than the central topic. Added the Editorial team page, a "How this content was produced" block (who/how/why) in each guide, and language adjustments distinguishing suspicion from confirmation.

  6. correction

    Timeline correction

Removed a future-dated item (5 October) that could suggest an event had already happened. The entry now records the current monitoring status, without a future date.
